Core volunteers are at the heart of the Zoo, and thanks to them, the Zoo is able to continue doing great things. We also are privileged to have many community businesses and organizations support the Zoo on a volunteer base such as the Gator Club of Brevard that came out recently and helped remove more than a ton of sand from Zoo grounds.

Brevard Zoo could not accomplish much of what we do without the help of volunteers. Our volunteers care for the animals, help our staff, greet guests, run cash registers, and so much more. We have nearly 150 volunteers and half of them work regular hours. In 2007 our volunteers logged more than 29,000 hours at a value of $575,865.
